Finished up a few things last night. Got it all packed up.
Still working on Lucy’s headdress — but I think that’s about it at this point. I’ve got to finish the handsewing on that and it’s taking forever and making my fingers ache.
Everything is packed except for that lower part of the headdress (that I’m still sewing on), and my regular clothes:
I’ve got everything in this one bin, duffel bag, and poster tube (the feathers for the headdress are all in the poster tube).
And then two garment bags:
I’ve got 5 costumes stuff in those things. They are heavy. I also can’t leave them in the living room with the bin and bag because Luna won’t leave them alone.
So I’m thinking if I pack my duffel bag smartly that should be it – I can fit the headdress in there if I stuff it with like, my socks or something.
Then I’ll just have my wig box and makeup case. I’ve been really anxious over getting all this up to the room, as I’ve said before… we have a little cart and I think I can put the bin on the cart, lay the garment bags over the top, duffel bag on top of the garment bags and makeup bin next to it. And that should work ok. Carry the poster tube and wig box. Hopefully it’s not raining trying to get all this from the parking garage to the hotel.
I tried on all of Lucy yesterday afternoon. No makeup, bodice wasn’t tied on right (I tried to do it by myself), and the feathers aren’t in right, but:
YAY.
So when we get up to the hotel, I’ll have to reassemble the feathers into the foam core, and I’m going to have to wire them into place because the big ones really want to turn and twist as I move. And I need them to stay in place, so I’ll have to wire them together, I guess. Oh boy.
AND!!!!!!!!!!
I got photos of my TFA Leia wig from Custom Wig Co.
I’m not going to post them yet and spoil them. I think it’s arriving today and I’ll post on my instagram.
AHHHHHH!!!!
Oh and during dinner last night I finally got to play my Game of Thrones Survivor Edition.
That’s Jaime, Arya, the Hound – and then Cersei, Jon and Daenerys are all on their phones. Sansa and Tyrion have claimed the beds.
So yeah they got 2 beds and a toilet. The toilet was rarely able to be used because there was no privacy. Optimally 4 people could’ve slept in the beds because of the relationship settings, but rarely did it work out like that.
Later on I had to build a wall around the beds to keep them all in place, they kept wandering to far ends of the lots and neighbors kept poking their nose in.
Arya was the first to go. Then Tyrion, then Jaime, then Cersei, then Jon, then Dany, and then the Hound, leaving…
SANSA WINS! But at what cost?
Some artsy stuff…
I finally downloaded some new photoshop brushes and I’m been playing with that. First I pulled up the lineart from the Poe I did in the Star Wars set I did early last year (one of the few I had in my google drive), redrew part of it and started playing with it:
I was pretty happy with it how it turned out. So I started playing with the Padme from last week again:
I like it. Her face is a little misshapen, gotta fix that but I’m mostly just focusing on colouring right now. So that’s for later. Gonna keep playing with it when I have time.
